Installing Zend Core for Oracle
Installing Zend Core for Oracle is quite simple. Sheila should first check if she has the following prerequisite software installed on her system:

Oracle Database 10g Express Edition |

Apache Web Server 1.3x (or later) Note: Linux comes with a default Apache Web Server installed. |
The steps to install Zend Core for Oracle are:
| 1. | Visit the http://www.oracle.com/technology/tech/php/zendcore/index.html Oracle Technology Network site to download Zend Core for Oracle to a temporary directory. |

Extract the Zend Core for Oracle archive. |
3. |
Execute the ./install script and follow the installation prompts. |
The Zend Core for Oracle installation process by default automatically configures the Apache Web Server to execute PHP software in the Zend Core PHP engine. The Zend Core for Oracle PHP software is preconfigured with the latest OCI8 library for accessing Oracle Database.
Help Sheila install Zend Core for Oracle by using the default Apache Web Server available on Linux.
Note: The demonstration assumes that you have downloaded the Zend Core for Oracle software to the /tmp directory.
