Welcome to my website

I am currently a researcher at the Database Systems Group of Prof. Hans-Peter Kriegel in the Department of Informatics at the Ludwig-Maximilians-Universitat in Munich, Germany. I joined the group in 2010 as a post-doctoral fellow of the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation.

I obtained my PhD in Data Mining from the Department of Informatics, University of Piraeus, Greece, under the supervision of Prof. Yannis Theodoridis. I also hold a diploma in Computer Engineering & Informatics and an MSc in Computer Science, both from the Computer Engineering & Informatics Department (CEID), University of Patras, Greece.

My interests lie in the areas of Data Mining, Machine Learning, Information Retrieval and Databases, and can be summarized as: pattern extraction, change detection and evolution monitoring over complex dynamic data. I work with a variety of data types including numerical, text, spatiotemporal, graph and high-dimensional data.
